You can request deletion of your racket.today account and associated personal data at any time. This page explains what we delete, what we may keep, and how to submit a request.
How to request deletion
In the mobile app: open Settings (from the menu) while signed in, then tap Delete account and confirm. Your account and personal data are removed immediately.
You can also email us at info@racket.today from the email address linked to your account. Include:
- Your full name (as shown on your profile)
- The email address associated with your account
- A clear statement that you want your account and personal data deleted
For security, we may ask you to verify ownership of the account before processing the request. We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.
What we delete
When your account is deleted, we remove personal data associated with your account, including:
- Your profile information (name, photo, bio, location, skill level, and preferences)
- Authentication credentials and sign-in data
- Feed posts, comments, reactions, and uploaded media
- Direct messages and conversation history
- Games and events you created, along with your participation records
- Invites you sent or received
- Notification and email preference settings
- Avatar and other files stored in your account
What we may retain
Some information may be kept after deletion where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as:
- Payment and transaction records processed through Stripe (for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution)
- Records we are legally required to keep, or that are needed to enforce our Terms of Service or protect the safety of other users
- Backup copies that are automatically purged on a rolling schedule (typically within 30 days)
Retained data is limited to what is necessary and is not used for marketing or to re-create your profile.
Content visible to other users
After deletion, your profile will no longer be accessible. Content you shared with other users (such as messages sent to them) may remain visible in their inboxes, but will no longer be associated with an active profile.
Google sign-in
If you signed up with Google, deleting your racket.today account removes your data from our systems but does not delete your Google account. You can manage Google account permissions separately in your Google Account settings.
Before you delete
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you only want to stop receiving emails, you can update notification preferences in Settings while signed in instead of deleting your account.
